school, by jonathan boyle Subscribe to rss feed for jonathan boyle

Not far from joyous playgrounds
Silence broken by pendulums chime
The master turns his empty page
Gone are memories now of tag and Chase and ball
Deaf to the calling of innocence
Chained to stately chore
He turns his masters page.

No wind blows the kindness that guides him to surrender all

Returns to the playground
And shares with joy not unlike before.
