Lost my counsel, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

Lost the voice that I call to me
In the darkest second of my day
Lost the reason that kept me still
The voice that knew what to say

I lost my counsel, my guardian
My friend
I lost the one I turned to
Who would stay until the end

I can't hear the words
That used to ring true
Can't hear though I cry in the night
I can't find the words
That belong to you
Can't hear, try as I might

Oh I lost my counsel
From a heart that was pure
And would stop to lead my way
Yes I lost my counsel
Of that I am sure
And now I've been led astray.
