Ink Trail, by Unintended Subscribe to rss feed for Unintended

Finding somebody that's like you
Is as easy as finding a girl like me
And I still haven't found myself yet.
Both searches are painful,
Especially when all the answers are in front of me -
screaming the truth
And giving me shortcuts
To whom the heart really wants.
If only my answers were within reach.
So, I'll still look for another you,
Forever adding names onto this stupid "shopping list" - like
an ink trail leading to anywhere but my heart.

Its unlike a treasure hunt
Where there's mind-boggling riddles.
In this hunt, what you want could never be clearer: anybody
that resembles you and especially who I thought you could
be.
That person was love-worthy
That person was worth anything
That person still evokes boundless emotion even when all I
want to do is feel hate pulse through my body.
Yet, I still search for and add names to this tragic list in
the hope that I'll stumble not only across him but into his
heart too.

I'll never know
If you'll become better when you're older but until then
I'll still search for somebody that you
Could have been
