Snow

See if you can tell
Who or what I am
It’s a guessing game
So try I know you can.

I fall like lace from the sky

Bringing magic to the trees

I blanket all the hillsides

Where people use their skis

I come in the wintertime

I’m very cold and white

And when your out during the night

I shine like silver in the moonlight

Sometimes I am wet and soft

Sometimes dry and hard

But neither makes a difference

To the snowman in your yard

You can see me coming

From very far away

Foretelling my arrival

Are clouds a pinkish grey

And when its warm and sunny

I quickly melt away

But don’t you worry, sonny

I’ll be back some other day.

What Am I?
