Serenity, by Invisible Poet Subscribe to rss feed for Invisible Poet

If only i could calm my heart
slow the beating enough to peek
How long has it been We've been apart?
Yet here we are next to this little creek

Warmth pulsing through the stones
your eyes peek from behind your hair
my body tingling to the bones
I can help but to stare..

The land begins to sink below the water
This flood will never be contained
the connection growing ever hotter
I have never felt such happiness and still feel so pained

Where will this river take us..
that we never know standing on the dock
I can ask for nothing more than your trust
and await for your return with the ticking of the clock
