Little Girl, by Butterfly Warrior Subscribe to rss feed for Butterfly Warrior

She knows she's alone,
that nobody notices her,
that nobody cares for her,
nobody speaks to her,
nobody talks to her.

She prays that this depression isn't real,
that she'll wake up to hugs and kind words,
the little girl in first grade just felt worse and worse.
Her parents always fighting,
her classmates always oblivious to this girl.

She kept hurting,
she kept dieing,
inside she was sad,
she hid her feelings,
her teacher took her aside,
told her to look at the light.

She knew that the light would mean it would be over,
she knew that if she tried someone would stop her,
she did anyway,
she cut herself and felt better,
she smiled after sevens years,
she would never hurt from her peers.
