two, by eleanor maslen Subscribe to rss feed for eleanor maslen

how can someone change
like the other never new
like two people in a war
and both of them were you.

two faces to a body
two thoughts to a mind
one an evil being
the other only kind

when you looked in the mirror
did you scream in fright?
realsing it was you
that woke you in the night

did you even know
that side my side you walked?
then when you opened your mouth
who knew which one would talk

and when it come to me
told me youd be strong
how could i tell you?
i fought for this so long

i still dont know which one
killed me as i slept
but as my dieing eyes grew
i saw you as you wept.
