A Rose, by Tamara Subscribe to rss feed for Tamara

A woody perennial
Tender blossoms red, as wine
Petals soft like feathers, gentle , quite divine
One, two, sit side by side
Standing with contentment, even pride

The glistening sun beams brightly
On every bud, lightly giving sun- kissed love
Each silky , heavenly fragranced , mother nature arm
Embraces her stigma & stamens as if they are her young

Slowly opening up, as if shy
Configuring into a beautiful ruby chalice
She looks to the sky in full awareness
As the bee retrieves pollen as to a baby to a Mother's
breast

She who seems to bare no imperfections
Nurturing, wise with a delicate complexion
Complex qualities, a dual natured creation

She who is beautiful , by nature
Has thorns to defend her from treacherous danger
Bloodshed with a prick of a prickly torn
A small incesion , nothing of a cruel decision

A woody perennial once seemed so sweet
Do not mistake her, she is not weak
