Madness , by Vera Espiritu Subscribe to rss feed for Vera Espiritu

I want to watch the world disintegrate
Under the force of my fist
Mix my tears with acid rain
Let the earth melt, layer by layer

Have my rage become grenades
So that I will never tremble
From the pain inside
Release a wild howl
From the animal within

And after that, all I want to do is cry
Listen to my own shuddering sobs
Collapse into my own corner of the world

Exhale the rest of my soul
Like the cigarette smoke of the moon
And feel my body wither away
Along with remainder of mankind

Release my spirit to the wind
With gentle winter whispers
Coaxing me, kissing me
into a wonderful oblivion
