Day and night
Black and white

The smell of a flower
The bark of a dog

All so generic
All so simple

But what if there's more to the story?
What if there's a twist in the plot?

What if the day stormed,
And the moon shined at night?

What if the black had undertones of red and purple?
What if the white reflected blue and green?

What if the flower's smell reeked,
And the dog's bark as sweet?

What would society say then?
If all was backwards and not cookie-cutter?

Would they say,
"How sweet, something unique,"?

Or would they say,
"Oh no! That must go!"?
