Stranger So kind, by Shauna DesJardins Subscribe to rss feed for Shauna DesJardins

A stranger so kind
I consider him a friend of mine.

He was there when no one cared,
He listened, talked, and helped.

A voice so trustworthy, gentle, kind.
Eyes so soft and caring, yet mysterious and confusing.

I briefly met this friend of mine,
Light brown hair and dark eyes.

I hope someday I'll see you again
And reunite with my long lost friend.

He'll always be in the back of my mind.
A memory not easily forgotten.

Jacob was his name,
A know very little else about him except,
That he likes to wander and adventure t night.

He likes to comfort those who cry.
His heart is big but I think it's broke.

There's something hiding behind his eyes.
He likes to joke, kindly though.

Directions to places in Lewiston he's good at giving.
Unless of course he's drunk.

He lost a friend years ago,
To a sad and tragic suicide.

A kind heart.
A gentle soul.

That's what he is,
At least to me.

I really hope I'll never forget
the time between

One something and 2am that morning
April 28, 2013.

When I met a stranger so caring and sweet.
A little bit older then me.

I'm not sure if he was real,
Or just in my mind.

A hallucination so sweet,
Or a thought so nice.

Either way it's plain to see,
He'll always be in my memory.

There are those who want to know you, and have assumption over you. Friends are rare in the mirror. Strangers came from inside which God reveals.
