Longing, by seeker Subscribe to rss feed for seeker

My beloved, oh my beloved
You made me worthy of your love
Me, the incapable me
Me, the insignificant me
Me, the embodiment of imperfections and faults
Me, untrustworthy me
What path is it that leads to you oh my lord?
How do you qualify the unqualified?

Oh my lord, bestow upon me the understanding that would lead
you to me
Oh my lord, I am handicapped by my own nature and
shortcomings
How can I cross the seven seas and seven heavens to get to
you?
Blinded by pride,
Deafened by the chatter of the mind,
Even the intellect is clouded by the ego
With such limited capacity as though roaming in pitch
darkness
Oh my creator, how could I possibly come to you?

Like a fish longing for water in the ocean
Such is my state, my lord
Captured in a castle made of gold
You’ve put me on a throne and crowned me a queen
The burden is difficult to bear my lord

Melting away in my own flame
Salvage me from this world
A world of greed
A world of fear
A world of suffering
A world of pain and separation

Allow me to be a slave at your feet
Embrace me from this world of illusions
Take me into your holy arms
Allow me to melt away in your heart.
