A Girl's Love and Broken Heart, by Karlee Anderson Subscribe to rss feed for Karlee Anderson

Smiling faces and a broken heart,
silent cries, a work of art fallen apart.
Gorgeous eyes, teared by despair,
wailing winds, gone without care.
Gentle breezes torn away,
stripped to shades of gray.

Kiss blown uncaressed and dead
tears running down that fled.
Beautiful rosy cheeks turned pale,
old words long gone stale.
Lips never parted but always spoken,
never gone, out in the open, but hidden.

Skies, dark, with the rain unfalling,
bombs bursting and people falling.
Kids all listening, but not at all.
Joyful yelps as tears fall.
Leaping in the air
as all around you they stair.

Singing love songs, but left with a broken heart,
don't ever let him break this gift apart.
Keep it safe and away from harm,
safe with smiles and warm.
