My Natural Calling, by ezimmerman Subscribe to rss feed for ezimmerman

If then and either or

I can see the lighthouse on the shore!

This cold is freezing me to my core

And I don’t think I can take anymore

It’s been so long since I’ve had shelter

Don’t look back because the salt will melt her!

Just around the rocks, we can make it!

Hide your money so the authorities don’t take it!

There are so many troubles to overcome

The whole does not equal the sum

Pressing forward while I’m falling

Sprinting through time as I’m crawling

There’ll be no if ands or buts

This wagon is coming out of the ruts!

She’ll come my way by the way she struts

And we’ll trip through the day until it’s dusk

Life is so simple under the shade of the trees

The sun is on your hair as we’re floating in the breeze

The world is a playground with you by my side

Your shelter is the only place where I want to hide

My problems seem to have flown away

In all the things you’ve shown me today

You give me the strength to overcome

The whole is looking more like the sum

Pressing forward but I’m still falling

You’re still here but the comedown is calling

And so, the conclusion follows the premises

Could you leave the fire burning if you please?

I’m so tired that I’ve fallen to my knees

Maybe one day, all our pain will cease

Look how far we’ve come and all the things we’ve seen

It seems this could only exist in a dream

Loneliness is an illusion everyone knows of

But it disappears when you that you’re truly loved

My trials have come to pass

And now I’m here at last

My stress has laid itself to rest

My soul feels like it’s been confessed

I've gone from pure adrenaline to completely numb

And the whole seems like it finally equals the sum

I’m still pressing forward as I’m still falling

But I think I have finally found my natural calling
