What It Means To Me, by Courtney Subscribe to rss feed for Courtney

Sharing the words,
That make me feel alive.
They speak to me freely,
Remind me of the past.
They make me think of you,
Of the things you could have done.
An opening into the world,
Your thoughts free to decipher.
I wish it meant to you,
what it means to me.
Oh, I wish it meant to you.
Sharing the words I feel,
I can never get those back.
Locked up in the pages,
With no color of emotion.
I love the way it sounds,
To confess it all tonight.
My heart grows lighter,
The monster subsides in me.
I float to the sky,
Could I fly to you?
I wish it meant to you,
What it means to me.
Oh, I do wish it meant to you.
A feeling so simple,
Insignificant to your eyes.
Gently I sway to it,
The sound of your words.
Does it mean to you,
What it means to me?
Say the truth now,
If just for yourself.
Speak your mind,
Cause I want to know.
Tell the secrets of your life,
The ones you'd rather forget.
Tell me the truth,
Mean it with your heart.
I can't decide now,
With utter honestly.
A choice of saying,
Or regretting my words.
I wish it meant to you,
What it means to me.
Oh yes, what it means to me.
These words that mean to me,
The world inside my palm.
I do hold them close,
But still,
I wish it meant the same to you.
