***MEMORY HEIGHTS***, by chicken scratch love Subscribe to rss feed for chicken scratch love

We came together as BMX vandals
The rope, black sands, and J&L Goodman Scandal

It was a time of brotherhood and exploration
When "License to Ill" was in constant rotation

On "Dragon's Lair" and pinball
Our money was blown

At G&L Headquarters
Where most our bikes were stolen

Squirelling parents' booze
Was our ticket to the weekends

Totally unaware...
We were feeding inner demons

It seemed so naturally innocent
And for the most part, it was

Hiding deep in Memory Park
'Til we wore off our buzz

"There's NO WAY IN HELL that shit wasn't laced!"

Elmer and Bugs chased us that day

Weather never severed our plans
We were legends within a flash in the pan

The memories we made
Flying high as kites

I'll never forget my daze
In Memory Heights
