The Road Thus Far, by ~Angela~ Subscribe to rss feed for ~Angela~

The road thus far,
Is a road full of bumps,
And many cracks,
It's not a perfect road,
But I leave the bumps behind,
And pass over the cracks,
I've been broken-hearted,
And just broken to pieces,
I've been lied to,
I've been pushed,
I've been spit on,
I've been made fun of,
I've been hit,
I've been threatened,
I've been disowned,
I've been betrayed,
I've been shut out,
I've been ignored,
I've been lied on,
I've been pranked,
I've been sold out,
I've been in relationships that never lasted,
But in you,
I see promise,
In you,
I find love,
You make me feel like I will never be betrayed again,
Because I know that you won't,
You take care of me,
You show me the meaning of what love is,
And my dear friend,
I do love you,
I love you more than anyone,
You mean everything to me,
I do not say these words slightly,
The words tremble on my lips,
And make my heart jump in pure delight,
And my mouth smiles from the thought,
I'm so glad that I had met you,
You light up my life,
Your touch on my skin,
Makes me feel alive,
You revived me,
For I had been dead for a long time,
I need you,
And I'm sure that you need me,
Even if you don't know for sure yet,
I will be here waiting,
Only because we were supposed to be,
And so it shall be someday,
When you wake up from your dream like I had from mine,
For it is just a dream,
And your soulmate has been right next to you all along,
In the driver's seat,
Waiting for you to wake up and take the wheel,
To help guide me down the rest of the road,
Because I cannot see it any other way.
