Air, by John Moore Subscribe to rss feed for John Moore

There are many kinds of air.

stiff, still air,
 weighed down by sadness
in the depths of familiar rooms

wild wind
pure
free
giving life
to treetop
and man akin

Hot, thick air
that mires the lungs
heavy, hard hair
that turns to concrete
with every word
every memory
ever

calm, cool air

that pirouettes
and drifts
from one moment to the next
easing minds
shaping hearts
into a graceful rosettes
