Stars, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

Stars
I stepped into the blackened night
The air was crisp and cold
There were no stars at all in sight
But the moon was yellow gold

"Now isn't that strange?" I spoke aloud
To me , myself, and I
"At night I know there isn't a cloud
But why are no stars in the sky?"

I pondered on this for many a block
As I walked myself home
Twelve chimed the big, round town clock
On the tower inside the dome

I reached my house and turned the key
And stepped into the hall
"Now I know why, I said to me
Because all the stars are on my wall."
