Home For Christmas
Softly kissed by falling snow
Winter moon lights our way
A humming sound soft and low
The runners of a sleigh

Horses hoofs make no sound
Padded by soft fluffy snow
Falling lightly on the ground
And sparkling as we go

We'll be home by morning light
If we keep a steady pace
I'm warm wrapped in furs of white
Though my horse wants to race

He has blankets to keep him warm
A feed bag for oats and hay
Memories of Jack and Karm
Bring me home on Christmas day

Snow's no longer falling
As sun peeks o'er the ridge
Old memories I'm recalling
As we cross the narrow bridge

Unhitching my horse from the sleigh
He's led to a warm stall
With new straw, water, oats and hay
For my faithful horse named Paul

From barn to house wasn't long
I'm glad I heeded the call
Inside I hear a Christmas song
A Merry Christmas was had by all.
