Spontaneously Gone
You nestled inside
But I didn't know
I wasn't yet a bride
Even so
You were there
Intending to stay
So unaware
Till the finale day
When you went away

Why did you go?
I needed you
Didn't you know
I would see you through?
Did you change your mind
Because the time wasn't right
Or because you did find
That we would fight
And be full of spite

I didn't get a chance to love you
Or hold you in my arms
Were your eyes to be brown or Blue
What were your charms?
Did you plan to come to me
At another time?
Or let things just be
They could have been sublime
If you'd given us more time

It's too late now my dear
For I am old and worn
Too late for us I fear
To bad you were not born
For I would have loved you
Though times may have been rough
But I didn't have a clue
My dear, I have cried enough
You went back to heaven stuff

May I ask a question though?
And will you answer true?
It is something I must know
Or is it something that I knew?
Have you come to me anyway
In another human form?
Did you choose another day
One better for you to perform?
No, you left the lump of clay.

From Me to you I send my love
Riding on a snow white dove
May we meet someday my love
When I am there up above
I shall see you face to face
And we shall lock in an embrace
All the sorrow it will erase
You are fair and full of grace
Someday I shall see your face.
Love, Mother.
