Clean Up Job
Bundles of bills stashed in drawers
Bundles of bills stashed behind doors
The thought that they will not be seen
Even in my sewing machine

Papers stacked up high on my desk
High enough for a statuesque
Oh even in boxes they hide
Yes I even have some outside

Too many clothes in my closet
Not even one more deposit
Throw it outside the closet door
There isn't room for anymore

Many dishes in the cupboard
Opposite from Mother Hubbard
Who had nothing at all in there
The two of us you can't compare

I will hire me a big truck
To haul away this pile of muck
My house must be clean by summer
If it isn't what a bummer

There's spider webs in the corners
They're dead but there are no mourners
There's spots on the carpet, oh my
This is enough to make me cry

Well how did this place get so bad?
Maids and butlers all I have had
They were a lazy lot I guess
To let this place be such a mess

Gut the house and let's start over
Throw it off the 'Cliffs Of Dover'
Now this, my house, is more than clean
The cleanest place you've ever seen.
