Holding My Heart, by Cutie In A Death Cab Subscribe to rss feed for Cutie In A Death Cab

I'm holding my heart as tight as I can,
because I know how careless you are.
I'm holding my heart so tight, so tight.
Don't want another ugly scar.

If I gave it away,
if I let it go,
would you treat it as your own?

Maybe we should leave this alone.

I'm holding my heart as tight as I can.
Look at the bruises I've caused.
Been trying to protect myself.
Now I'm just hurt and lost.

If I loosened my grip,
if I took a chance,
do you think that maybe we could dance?

I'm just so afraid of emotions.
I'm afraid you'll be selfish with me.
I don't want to fall hard,
only to be scarred.
I just want someone to love me.
