Why I'm Drifting, by little_irish_rose Subscribe to rss feed for little_irish_rose

It happened once, I thought it'd be the last.
That what had happened would remain in the past.
But now the past has become today.
And that is why I am drifting away.
You stepped into my life, now nothing is right.
I cry myself to sleep each night.
Because I don't want to be left alone.
But you are starting to become my home.
And if home is where the heart is, I don't want it to be
you.
Because I'm afraid you'll break my heart, too.
Being with you is too much pain.
Because it hurts when I'm afraid.
I'm leaving now, and the weight is lifting.
And that is why I'm drifting.
