Regret, by poppy Subscribe to rss feed for poppy

I took you for granted,
I thought you would always be there.
I never thought you would leave
Without a fight.
I never thought I would never see you again.

You went without a farewell,
You went thinking he did not love you,
You went thinking the world was against you.
Although you have gone to the pace you dreamed about.

You have gone to the place your parents and siblings went
to,
You have gone to the place where
You will be better treated.
To the place we all will one day meet.
Yet, after all this,
I cannot believe I will never see you again.

I will come home,
You will not be there.
I will come home,
And I will see an empty spot,
Where you once sat.

I cannot believe that I will not see your face,
I cannot believe I will not hear your voice,
I cannot believe that I will not see you there,
I cannot believe I will not touch you again.
