Modern Day Prince, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

At night I lie up in my bed,
Wondering about the lies you said.
You softly whispered "I love you."
But I know those words aren't true.
I know I'm not in any way pretty,
Or amazingly smart, funny or witty,
And it pains me so much that you can't see,
That you are much too good for me.
After all you are handsome and charming,
And do smart it is alarming,
So how could you, a modern day prince
Love me, who makes people wince?
I'm sorry to say, it's sad but true,
I will never really be loved by you.
