Finding You, by Markuz Subscribe to rss feed for Markuz

do not close your eyes
do not trap your soul
for at night it wanders free
roaming the dark
and the moon and the stars
mine searches as your does for me

we bask in our one-ness
our souls now entwined
forgetting both time and space
feeling time passing by
as your hands caress mine
indulged by your scent and your taste

then the night bids farewell
as the day casts its spell
making every detail of yours clear
with my hands i can see
all of you seeing me
your presence so familiar, so near

in the day's dance, we pass
simply giving a glance
for our eyes say much more than our words
though our words fail our souls
our eyes always know
and speak volumes to feelings unheard

so much sadness consumes
when I'm not here with you
a strong stabbing pain in my chest
calm this unworldly pain
with something more mundane
til, with you, I find comfort and rest

I've invested so much
you've become like my crutch
but for you I would gladly lose more
no more burden or pain
no more playing these games
in this world of walls you are my door

in relationships past
I found they couldn't last
much in common, but never the truth
then you finally came
and now nothing's the same
no more playing these games
no more going insane
finally free
I can finally say
we're okay
and I love you, too.
