What About The Children, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

Some say that life is not your own
because god can take it away
it’s almost like a debt collector
that you will one day pay.

But what about the children?
And the lives they lived in vain
how could he let them go through
all the tears suffering and pain?

He lets innocent people suffer?
Is it his way to make us see?
That he truly is not happy
with the lives that most can lead.

but this is not fair,
I know you will agree,
he’s taking innocent lives,
and leaving us all here to grieve,
but maybe there is a reason,
that we will one day see,
why all those innocent people die,
and why young children hurt and cry
but all these questions
will stay unanswered
till the day my debt collector comes,
and when I’m standing at the gates
and god is holding me by the hand
I’ll ask him all my questions
in hope he’ll understand.
