Katrina

The warning was given 20 hours before she struck
NoOne knew the levee would break
Except he knew, The Schmuck
There were burn marks to prove it was no mistake

A canister was placed at the levee low down
To explode at the right time
So as to remove those in the town
The poor, those he thought to be slime

These people couldn't get out of the way
Of the storm that was crashing the land
They were to be Katrina's prey
That's how it all was planned

They engineered Katrina to be at full force
When she came upon the land
And they steered her course
To go just where they had planned

Oh, yes people, the technology is there
To manipulate the weather
For their own purpose they use it, they dare
Will people ever in love come together?

The water rose higher than ever before
It came into the windows and through the door
Those that could climbed atop their dwelling
They sat on the roof top yelling

The broken levees caused the city to flood
Water came in from the neighboring lake
After it drained there were bodies in the mud
This destruction was no mistake

The lucky, those that found higher ground
For days had no water, no food
They waited for help but none was to be found
To tell you the truth these people were screwed

The dark forces were allowed to do their evil deeds
Their heart centers closed up tight
Not caring for anyone elses needs
Just their agenda. They're black as night

Those that died were met by angels fair
And taken home and given rest
And tended by those that care
In this life they had done their best

Animals roam the flooded land
Left by the people they love
No one to give them a helping hand
But they are watch by the ones above

Finally rescuers came to gather the animals all
Taking them to safely and giving them food
They heard the creator's call
Not all of the animals were screwed

Some of them were meant to die
Some were meant to live
It's not for us to ask why
It's just for us our love to give

And so the story goes, my friend
This is life here on planet earth
I'm sorry to say it's not the end
The planet is in travail to give birth
