As I Am Sitting Here, by Austin Hoehn Subscribe to rss feed for Austin Hoehn

As I am sitting here
staring off in space
thinking what lies ahead
I can't even start to
comprehend where my
life is leading me. Sometimes
I think I see so clearly
where I am to go, until
I find out that I was going
through life with the sun
staring me in the eyes.
So I turn my back and go on a different path that goes the
other way.
Now the path I will be trudging
seems to be never ending.
It's so dark and lonely I feel like
there is no one to hold me
tight and say everything
will be alright. But then I
hear a voice deep in the
silence of my heart telling
me that there is a glimpse
of hope coming form the
rising sun. So I open my eyes and look straight ahead not
at the ground. And when
I look at my surroundings,
I realized I wasn't
paying attention to
what was around me
so I did not notice the sun
that before me, surrounded me,
that filled me with
the hope and light of day.
Now that I know there
is light the night will
be bright as the setting
sun that goes down before
the night that comes and
see the people that I
have met come back.
I can not forget
how much they have
touch my life, forever
and ever to the end of the world
I will be forever
grateful that God brought
them into my world.
