Tell Not A Soul, by jeanimoo Subscribe to rss feed for jeanimoo

Laughter within,
laughter without,
clouds of tears that
you never saw.

A show for all to see,
but will not tell a soul.
The sun ever shining outside
while raining deep within your heart,
but will not tell a soul.

A show you put on for all to see,
while dying inside with each
passing day, hoping that it does
not show as you will not tell one soul.

Emotions roaring, as acting has
come so easily while putting on
a front to hide what you really
feel inside, while not telling a
living soul.

Years go rolling by, while feeling
clever inside for not telling one soul,
but the walls are caving in
as the truth unfolds.

Still you put on a show, trying to
seem detached from emotions that are
really deep within, but you still will
not tell a soul.

A smile appearing upon your face
with just the mention of the name,
wondering could they really know?
although you won't tell a soul.

Your mind wanders to and fro,
while trying to keep a level head,
looking back, looking ahead feelings
that have never gone away sure no one
can tell for you are never telling a soul.

Day in, day out your life is incomplete,
for though you will not tell a soul
it is still upon your face, you think
no one can tell as you act so very well
ever trying to never show what you will
not tell a soul.

Another now you hold so dear,
but even they can see and feel
while you pretend and act so well
and learn to go on while never
telling a soul.

Laughter within,
laughter without
clouds of tears that
you never saw.

For you will not tell one living soul.
