My Mistake, by Mysti Subscribe to rss feed for Mysti

It was such a big deal,
It was a lonely thing I did.
In the end it was my mistake.
I took it from him trying to save him,
We both got in trouble.
Whoops, my mistake.

He's back now, and in my class.
I shouldn't have talked to him.
Once again, my mistake.
Drawn in by the danger, taken aback by the crowd,
Good God, it's my mistake.

Not minding my busines,
Trying to be the peace maker,
Fucking hell, it's again, my mistake.
I shoulda listened to him,
The first time it happened,
But again and again, it's my mistake.

The phone rings in the middle of the night.
She's crying, and worried, and talks with a fright.
Not a mistake.
Her dad has abused her, no one else cares.
Letting her hang up on me,
That was my stupidest fucking mistake.
