Enjoy the moment!
...But I can't. I won't.

Look around!
Crystal snowflakes rest on beds of bark. They set
examples for me.
"Be calm, child", they whisper. "Rest with us and stay."
...But I can't. I won't.

Mother nature sings to me.
She sings that I should pause. Pause and watch. Be still.
My heavy breathing drowns out her
perfect voice.
I'm scrambling, and Falling.
Slipping on the ice.
My bruises weep for me. They tell me to slow down.
...But I can't. I won't.

I listen to no one. I run and I run.
Seeking...what? Seeking what?
I am never satisfied.

But here is where I stop.
Look, the world is not moving as fast
as I had imagined. This isn't a race.
I rest, and lay my head on a leafless maple. I share this
bed with the snowflakes.
We stay and enjoy the moment.
