Did you know?

Blood runs through a vein
in my chaotic brain.
Like a river it carries a raft.
The raft is fortified by an unrelenting draft
that subsides
only when I die.

The raft multiplies like magic
and forces the river out of the static
position. It flexes and stretches and
creates a million channels
and each impeding dam
quickly dismantles.

Will I ever burst
for flood or overflow?
Surely there comes a point
where the oceans must cease to grow.

As of yet
I don't know.
