Picture Perfect, by LaShawnna Subscribe to rss feed for LaShawnna

When someone looked at her they'd said she's picture
perfect. She never cussed she always goes to church. She
even succeeds in everything she does, but in truth she
treats her daughter badly. She calls her fat, and she
constantly says I'm better than you. She may be pretty on
the outside, but inside she's as ugly as one could be on the
inside. Her daughter has now resorted to using a knife.
She's a sweetheart, and her mother doesn't see what
beautiful gift god gave her. You see if Kelsey were to tell
anyone, how her mother really was no one would believe her.
They'd say oh you must be crazy, that woman's picture
perfect. But the truth of it there's no such thing as
picture perfect, because somewhere in the picture theres a
piece of broken glass.

* I wrote this poem about my friend Kelsey's mom. So yea
this person is actually real.*
