it's getting bigger now
like i said, with time.
i just can't say goodbye now
this problem has gone too far down the line.

so tell me what you're feeling
tell me if you know it's real.
i'm insensitive;
and i always wrap my life in a metaphor.
i wish i could show you what a big deal this is;
what an immense weight on my back
this represents..

dragging against salty rocks
numbing pain surrounds the lock.
i'm going in circles, and the blood is fizzing;
take my life, it's not worth living.
right now my temples throb
and i can feel my sanity lessen
as i realize i'm being robbed.

i seem to always pick the worst times
to say everything i'm trying to say.
you've got me permanently set on delay
with the best intentions in mind.
i'm scared to let you know
i don't know what there is to find.

i can't get my priorities straight.
everything that mattered
is thrown out of place;
i try to put it back together, but i've forgot
and i'm confused at why
i have manipulated this into a race.
