Love paid me a visit, by rob Subscribe to rss feed for rob

It had your face,
And it wore your sweet smile.
Love paid me a visit.
It made me feel wanted, needed, desired.
Love's hand felt warm in mine,
And when I squeezed, it squeezed back.
Love filled me, thrilled me,
And overwhelmed me.
Love paid me a visit,
And then love went away.
You were all my hopes,
You were all my dreams.
You were the reason the sun shone bright,
And the stars twinkled each night!
You were the light in the dark,
And the rainbow after the rain!
Love paid me a visit,
But it didn't want to stay!

*Note
the first half of this poem I found on the net, the author
was unknown, but at the time I felt like it needed a sad
ending.
