Under The Street Light, by ~JaLeEsA lOvEs PoLkA dOtS~ Subscribe to rss feed for ~JaLeEsA lOvEs PoLkA dOtS~

I'd stand there at our meeting time,
Thinking about how much you mean to me,
I'd look around to see you,
Wondering if you'll be here too...
Waiting for you in the cold,
Hands in my pockets,
Sadness is coming through,
All because,
I cant see you...
I can feel my eyes watering up,
Its getting darker outside,
Sighing and taking one last look,
Thinking to myself that my trust is what you took...
A tear goes down my face,
You didnt show up,
You lied when you said everything would be alright,
This time im leaving,
I walked away from under the street light.

Oh I love this poem, its really well written. I can completely picture it happening. The idea of walking from the light itself seems so meaningful...
