Ignorance is Bliss, by Cutie In A Death Cab Subscribe to rss feed for Cutie In A Death Cab

Always holding on tight, but for rare moments of respite
Feels like it'll never end
What if I just cease to bend?

I get so deep, I lose so much sleep
And I realize again
That I can never win

If I stay this way
But it's so hard to change
When you know, you know how it goes
How it really goes

I am not naive anymore
You can't fool me anymore
I know what the world looks like from more than just the
first floor
So stop trying to close that door

My eyes on the ground, cover my ears and try not to hear the
sound
But it's so loud now
And I'm so scared now

No one told me, this is how it would be
Sometimes I think I'm the only one
Who notices the severity of the sun

And If I stay this way
It'll be even harder to change
Because I know, I know how it goes
How it really goes

I am not naive anymore
You can't fool me anymore
I know what the world looks like from more than just the
first floor
So stop trying to close that door
