Truthful as Lies, by lost the lonely dead Subscribe to rss feed for lost the lonely dead

Remember the innocence of youth
the way we all played silly games
not understanding value of the lives we led
all the while the mountains rise above us
threateningly smiling we smile back

Remembering the cuts that caused these scars
looking back wondering how it all came to be
forgetting all the childhood tales
and having to grow up all too fast
a lot like a rose it blooms so quickly and must then be cut
back
