Bitter Goodbyes, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

Stroking my rose red cheeks
And catching my tear that falls
This night in cold november
Is where we could of had it all.
A sliver of your face is seen
A silver teardrop in your eye
My unsaid words fall unto your fingers
Need no words for our goodbye.
A gasp escapes my lips
As you brush the snow out of my hair,
Just by this little sign
it shows how much you care.
Your so very close now
I see snow flakes on your lashes,
A bomfire flicker is nearby
I can smell the burning ashes.
A bitter smile curves your lips
You close you hand around mine,
You gaze straight into my eyes
With a look I can't define.
A look that showed your soul
A look I can't explain
you pressed your lips to mine
Ran, to catch your train
But I won't cry about you absence
I won't cry for our pain,
For our strife our tears but simply
That I won't see that look again.
