I'm entranced although I can't say why,
I know that's it's a waste of energy
and these corrosive emotions I try to deny
are rapidly consuming me.

Toss me a piece of paper
so I can work this out.
Can't see through the layers
of thickly painted doubt.
I keep seeing you with her,
you keep sending me signs.
I'm losing all my sanity,
where's the key to your mind?

Only you can me feel so weak,
rip down all my sense of control
and the words that you speak
if targeted, could pierce my soul.

Don't you see what you're doing to me?
You're leaving me without ammunition
but the look in your eyes and the tone of your voice
is placing me in a hard position.

Seeeing you with her
is torture to my mind
and being unsure
means sleep is hard to find.
I've learnt from before
that love can be unkind.

Cautiously taste the flavour;
dripping honey sweet
but it is not to be your saviour
for poisoned is your treat.

Open your eyes to the image;
fields of swaying grass.
Concealed are there creatures timid?
Or shards of broken glass?

The silence that seperates us
is a chasm of unspoken words
and every sound that interrupts,
is a sound that goes unheard.

The whisper of your voice echoes down the tunnels of time,
reminiscing of those days when I was yours and you were
mine.
The situation balanced unfairly tore us two apart
but you forgot to give me something back cos baby you kept
my heart.

So fill my heart with love,
be the one that I adore.
Tear it into pieces,
throw it on the floor.
Open my eyes and let me see,
set my mind free.
Convict me lock me up
and throw away the key.

My darling, yes my darling, if you could read my mind,
I think you might be alarmed at the voices that you find.
Look at the playlist on my screen of memories,
precious but edged with pain; those days of you and me.

So until I find a way to push myself past you
or until the day that miraculously my dreams come true,
the expression on my face that I always wear
will always be the one of hidden silent tears.

Stop tugging at both arms and jerking me around,
the unspoken words don't say it all.
The mystery that enshrouds this mess
Creates greater heights from which to fall,

Gold-edged daydreams,
Litter my lonely mind,
Scars criss-cross my heart,
And silence traces my mouth,

I am envious,
And my blue eyes cloud over,
With bittersweet memories,
Bouncing through mists,

You hold her hand unaware,
Of the way it tortures I,
Although you can't deny,
Some connection still remains,

My expresion betrays my blues,
And my body aches with lonliness,
As I still fail to ignore,
The eternally corrosive need.

This is a remix of all the poems that I have written on the
same subject, about the same person. I'm still working on
it to make the changing rhythms flow more naturally, it's a
combination of all my favourite stanzas. The last two lines
pretty much sum it up - I still fail to ignore the eternally
corrisive need.
