Truth, by Abby Fischer Subscribe to rss feed for Abby Fischer

Where is truth when all the lies
Are told each time a baby dies?
Can we not hear the silent cries?

Of those who’ve died in vain?

Murdered in their mothers’ wombs
Which have become the darkest tombs
Where evil comes and death consumes

The ones who have been slain

So long we’ve been without a soul
And let this evil take its toll
When will we see justice roll?

And come upon our land?

We can’t pretend and we can’t hide
And we can’t say we haven’t lied
We should have fought for those who’ve died

Their blood is on our hands

Crying out for heaven’s heart
We’re longing now to play our part
We know its time for war to start

And lies to lose their hold

Shake the lives of all who try
To make the world believe a lie
And let them hear our battle cry

“God, let the truth be told!”
