LILY, by Trish Subscribe to rss feed for Trish

LILY WITH SKIN SO FAIR
BIG BLUE EYES
AND FLAMING RED HAIR

A SECRET ON YOUR LIPS
YOUR LITTLE FIST
SET ON YOUR HIPS

YOU THINK SO MUCH OF ME
SWEET DAUGHTER LILY
THERE IS SO MUCH YOU DON'T SEE

ALL MY BAD FAULTS
THE MANY MANY
SECRETS LOCKED IN VAULTS

I WISH I WERE MORE LIKE YOU
BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTFUL AND KIND
WITH A LOVING HEART THAT IS TRUE

BUT YOU LOVE JUST THE SAME
I GUESS YOU CAN'T SEE
YOUR MOTHER IS INSANE

I HAVE LOST HOPE
I HAVE LOST YOU
I CANNOT COPE

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME

Not too bad... although every word in capitals makes it kinda hard to read... like you're yelling the whole poem or something.

Work in progress is constantly what everything I do in life is, haha. What caught my eye about this was the name Lily, because it's my favorite. I once wrote a jazz song about a girl named Lily, and now I'm thinking I should post the small amount of words it has. I love the way you described her. Cute kid.. at least that's what I think she is!
