The let down, by Trish Subscribe to rss feed for Trish

I walk around in a daze
tired and worn
all work and no play

I can't do anymore
There's too much now
My body is sore

I'm there when you call
But you're gone
For me your not there at all

You told me so many things
Loves blind promises
Dreams with golden wings

In this moment is where
I need you I need you
To unconditionally be there

I keep on walking
Down this rocky steep path
You just keep on talking

Asking for god knows what
demanding more from me
Making me a mental nut

How long can I go on like this
sad and lonely and tired
where is my bliss

The lies I won't believe
I will not be so dumb
I will not be so naive

So go on and say
whatever sounds good
Because I won't be here one day

That's the way to tell someone they had better shape up or they're sure to lose something great. Wonderful piece.
