She Stood On The Stage, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born, by Thoughtless Encounters Subscribe to rss feed for Thoughtless Encounters

She stood on the stage,
And tried not to cry.
As she took her last bow,
With her head held high.

It had been her dream,
Her one true ambition.
A lifetime goal,
An important mission.

And now as she stood,
Choking back tears.
Biting her lip,
And bottling her fears.

The audience paused,
This - she had feared.
But to her surprise,
The audience cheered.
