right about now, by voxbox vacancy Subscribe to rss feed for voxbox vacancy

i know that i'm not what you had in mind.
i know that you want something different.
i'm all that's here.
sorry if you're disappointed.
i know that you deserve something far greater.
i know that you wanted much better than this.
i know that you were just joking then.
but i need something to hold on to.
maybe that's not what you dreamed of.
but that's all that i've got, right about now.
you could say that there's room for improvement.
you could say there's more than what happened back then.
you could pretend that there's more to the story.
i wouldn't do that if i was you.
you could be thinking i'm better without you.
you could be dreaming it's all in your head.
you could fall back and land perfect without me.
reality says that you're in for a landing.
i know that your breath isn't all that you're breathing.
i know that these lies will come back like before.
i know when you tell me you love me you mean it.
but, right about now, there are no guarantees.
right about now, there's no life-long performance.
right about now, i can't stand your voice.
right about now, i want nothing but silence.
i'm patterns of static, i make our revision.
you want more compassion in elegance substance.
you want a good lifestyle to follow your ego.
you want in me something that i cannot give you.
you want me to be someone i can't live up to.
you want some good magic in summers forgotten.
you tell me you needed a short time away.
you cry me a river, now i'm drowning in it.
right about now, you can shoulder some blame.
i'm tired of living two lives on my conscience.
i'm tired of lacking the love that i've lost.
i'm tired of pretending that everything's perfect.
i could use a little prayer, right about now.
