Easter Time, by Lunaria

Easter Time
Chicks and rabbits everywhere
Try to catch them if you dare
Dozens of boiled eggs on the table
Waiting for color when you're able
Baskets stuffed with fakey grass
To be finished before Easter Mass
Each basket gets a chocolate bunny
Make sure the chocolate isn't runny
Then some marshmallow yellow chicks
Add some jelly beans just for kicks
Are those boiled eggs colored yet?
Wait! The eggs are still quite wet
But aren't they pretty though?
No, No don't on them blow
Yellow , Red, pink and blue
Oh, there's a purple one too
Okay the colored eggs are dry
My goodness that's deep colored dye
Put them in the baskets, dear
Oh, look you broke the bunny's ear
Replace it with another one
All right I think we now are done
Go and don your Easter clothes
Wash the chocolate off your nose
Now off we go to Easter mass
While granny hides eggs in the grass
After mass we'll have an easter egg hunt
In the back yard not the front
Every pew was filled to the max
The preacher was reading the book of Acts
The congregation sang and sang
Their voices up to the rafters rang
When it was all said and done
We went home to have some fun
Easter time comes once a year
So go to the frig and get me a beer
