The Star Inside, by Austin Hoehn Subscribe to rss feed for Austin Hoehn

when I was young
and saw all the stars
on TV,
I said to myself,
I feel like that
someday could be me,
but then I got older,
and I said why me,
such a below
average person
out among the crowed
of and everyday life,
nothing I do is out of
the ordinary, and I am not above average
in knowledge,
but now as I am reaching my young adult
life
I feel this yearning,
deep down inside of me
that says,
you really might be,
you might be something
special you might have a
extraordinary purpose,
you have to look down inside
yourself and pull everything out
don’t hid yourself inside and say there
is nothing to me that cant be seen
reach down into your being and put everything
you are out on your shelves for all to see,
you are greater then what you see
you have talent, and you have style,
you just have to take the time to find it all
and clean it all out keep what you like and change
what you don’t,
stop your slumping in your shell
come on and live your life to the fullest
with your style,
all the stars that you saw as a child could be you
a star doesn’t mean you have to be on the TV
or famous, for you might be
Surprised to know how many people
think you are a star,
just the way you are
