We're walking down the street,
Right on time,
Handbags swinging by our sides,
Two guys pull up,
Just as planned,
We grin and step into our ride,
All four of us,
Laughing and talking,
With the music playing loud,
We arrive at the pretty park,
We're not there for the view,
It's all just another background,
Sharing a pipe,
Sharing a joint,
Taking turns with the bong,
Blowing smoke out the windows,
Laughing smoke into the car,
Mocking each different song,
Suddenly hungry,
We drive to the mall,
About stupidity we just don't care,
At least we're away,
From that creepy looking bird,
And the occasional suspicious stare,
My mouth is dry,
The lights hurt my eyes,
Suddenly self-concious now,
Nobody notices,
Anything strange,
We fade into normality somehow,
Back in the car,
Back at the park,
Chips and dip become our lunch,
With the music on quietly,
Each of us tense,
Trying not to giggle at each crunch,
I'm not really hungry,
Or so it turns out,
I just stare sleepily at the rain,
Wondering how I got here,
Wondering why,
But knowing it'll happen again,
We grab our handbags,
Thank the guys and smile,
Dropped off a street away,
We hug and seperate,
My head hurts alot,
I've been 'shopping' too much for one day. |
